Type:
Full Product
Purpose/Description:
This release focuses on modernizing the RayPack Studio suite's technical foundation and improving overall stability across all products (RayPack, PackBench, RayEval, RayQC andRayQC Advanced).
New Capabilities
Encrypted MSIX package support [RPACK-230] RayPack can now create and read encrypted MSIX packages.
MSP file support [RDEP-521] RayPack now supports opening MSP (patch) files directly.
SSL support for the reporting server [RDEP-529] The installer now lets the user configure an SSL certificate for the reporting server during setup, so reporting traffic can be secured out of the box.
Windows Authentication for the SCCM connector [RPACK-170] The SCCM connector now supports Windows Authentication, making it easier to connect in environments that require it.
Platform Upgrade
Modern .NET runtime [RDEP-519], [RDEP-522], [RPACK-235], [CIT-301] All products (RayPack, PackBench, RayEval, RayQC and RayQC Advanced) now run on .NETFramework 4.8. This keeps the suite on a runtime that continues to receive security updates from Microsoft and lays the groundwork for future improvements.
Resolved Issues
Fixed a crash in PackBench when connecting to a RayFlow instance that had deactivated projects, which blocked all packaging work on that instance after upgrading from PackBench7.x to 8.0. [RPACK-87] [ZEN-32977]
Fixed RayEval's Environment tab incorrectly displaying the RPS host's details instead of the connected Hyper-V guest's details. [RPACK-187] [ZEN-36490]
Fixed system snapshot creation failing when service-change scanning was enabled, caused by services with an unsupported Error Control value. [RPACK-197] [ZEN-36774]
Fixed RayEval's screenshot selection tool magnifying the desktop instead of capturing the selected area during high-DPI RDP sessions (e.g. 225% scaling). [RPACK-198] [ZEN-38048]
Fixed MSI packages built from RCP projects failing to install (Error 1309) due to captured system files and invalid MSI table data being included during repackaging. [RPACK-200] [ZEN-38150]
