RVY200796: Known Issue: After upgrade to version 12.3 update 5, the curl.exe is removed

Symptoms:

After installing of RayVentory Scan Engine Inventory Agent version 12.3 update 5, the agent may report an error, that one of the component (curl.exe) is missing.

Cause:

This is caused by a faulty Windows Installer upgrade, which removes a file instead of upgrading it to a newer version.

Workaround:

To remediate the issue, do one of the following:

• Remove RayVentory Inventory Agent, and install it again, or...
• Repair the already installed Inventory Agent by going to Add/Remove Programs → RayVentory Inventory Agent 12.3.0.11681, or by executing the following command:
  msiexec /fp {6D2667F0-29EB-4A98-AF1C-AD4CF9CC9B62} /qb!-
