Q201455: Why are failover settings not removed during upgrade

Question

Following an upgrade the failover settings remain the same, why is this?

Answer

The upgrade process keeps the old upload / download settings without removing them to help make the upgrade more seamless.

Additional Information

If the upload / download settings have changed, as long as the settings have been changed in the ManagedDeviceSettings package it should remove any redundant entries and replace them with the new entries. If this is not the case then please send the ManagedDeviceSettings package to support with a list of which locations are incorrect so that we can check that the package settings are correct.
