Prerequisites:
For the migration from 10.6 to 11.0
1. Ensure that RayVentory Administration server 10.6 on a Windows Server 2012 or newer has been installed.
2. Ensure that you have the RayVentory Server 11.0 source files.
3. Ensure that you downloaded and applied the following hotfixes:
4. Ensure that the params.ini file that has been used for the 10.6 installation.
For the migration from 11.0 to 11.4
1. Ensure that RayVentory Administration server 11.0 on Windows Server 2012 or newer has been installed
2. Ensure that you have the RayVentory Server 11.4 source files.
3. Ensure that you downloaded and applied the following hotfixes:
4. Ensure that the params.ini file that has been used for the 11.0 installation / upgrade.
Running the upgrade:
- Run the InstallationLauncher.exe as administrator.
- Select the RayVentory option.
- Select "Options".
- Fill in the following fields with adequate information (If you don't want to have any changes to your current system, use the information given in your old params.ini file from the 10.6/11.0 installation).
- Be sure to select "AS_RV" for the InstallType and "Upgrade" for the InstallMode (as seen below).
- Use "None" as the SQL setup Mode. (As other values will upgrade/reinstall the SQL Server itself.)
- Although the installer gives the information that the database will be just modified on the local machine, this option must also be chosen if data server and administration server are separated.
- Select this flag if you want to install RayVentory Portal.
- Select this flag if you want to use DNA database for RayVentory Advanced.
- After you have configured the installer, save your configuration and click on "Install".
