Applies to:
RayEval 6.2 (6.2.2088.159)
IDs:
RVL-608
Issue:
This hotfix addresses an issue where it was not possible to configure the floating license server from the command line MSI installation. Instead the installation was crashing with an error.
Remarks:
This hotfix only applies to scenarios where a silent / interactive installation of the MSI is started and only if the user provides the command line switch to set up the floating license server. This hotfix only changes the installation logic. It is not necessary to install the hotfix if you do not use the floating license server or if you use it but activate it manually from within the product.
Installation:
Instructions MSI installation:
- Install the MSI file found in the hotfix.
Instructions MST installation:
- Install the MSI of the original RayEval 6.2 with the transform using the following command:
msiexec /i "RayEval_6.2.3088.159.msi" TRANSFORMS="RayEval_6.2.3089.160-RVL-608.mst"
Notes:
- Always make sure to have a backup of your executables before applying any hotfix.
- Binary files downloaded from internet may be automatically blocked by SmartScreen, which may cause the product won't start. To ensure that SmartScreen does not affect the file, right click it in Windows Explorer and select appropriate option to unblock it, if visible.
