RSC200308: Packaging Suite 5.0 Recommended Requirements

RayFlow Server

  • Intel Core i5 CPU or greater.
  • Windows Server 2008 SP2 or later.
  • Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
    • Default or custom HTTP(s) port (Can be installed as an application within the Default web site or as a separate website itself).
    • Multiple applications or websites can be created on the same web server.
  • Microsoft Report Viewer 2008/2012 Runtime.
  • .Net 4.5 or later.
  • 8 GB RAM.
  • 500 GB storage RAID 10 (4x250GB) – on-box/off-box (local, FTP, FTPS, WebDAV, WebDAVSSL, & SMB depots are possible – a file server holding an existing software library structure can also be utilized instead of depots).
  • Web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox 3 or later, & Internet Explorer 9 or later).
  • Screen resolution of at least 1024x768 pixels.
  • 100 Mbit or faster network.
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later (Express edition is supported) – on-box/off-box (1 Gbit network if off-box).

 

Floating License Server

  • .Net 4.5 or later.
  • TCP port 26627 or custom port for its service.
  • Usually installed on the RayFlow server as all products need to be able to access both anyway.

 

Packaging Suite General

  • Intel Core i5 CPU or greater.
  • Windows Vista or later.
  • .Net 4.5 or later.
  • 4 GB RAM.
  • Screen resolution of at least 1280x1024 pixels.
  • 400 MB storage (if a separate file server is not being utilised then additional storage will be required to accommodate packaging related files).
  • Can be run in four modes:-
    • Standalone
    • Standalone with connection to RayFlow
    • Via PackBench
    • Via the RayFlow Client.

 

RayPack

  • General requirements.
  • Quality features require RayQC/RayQC Advanced to be installed on same machine.
  • SWV packages require Symantec Workspace Virtualization Agent 7.5 or later to be installed on the packaging machine.
  • Thin-App packages require VMWare Thin-App packages to be installed on packaging machine.
  • PackManager for App-V requires a connection (TCP port 5985) to a machine running the Microsoft Application Virtualization Client, plus an enabled WinRM service and PowerShell 3.0 or later on both machines as well as the RemoteRegistry service running on the client machine.
  • Local or remote storage for packages, templates, snapshots, profiles, etc.

 

PackBench

  • General requirements.
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later (Express edition is supported) – on-box/off-box.
  • TCP port 23624 or custom port for its service.
  • Installation modes:-
    • Standalone.
    • Client & server.
  • Local or remote storage.

 

RayQC

  • General requirements.
  • PowerShell 3.0 or later.

 

RayQC Advanced

  • General requirements.
  • PowerShell 3.0 or later.
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later (Express edition is supported) – on-box/off-box.
  • Local or remote storage for packages, images, etc.

 

RayEval & RayFlow Client

  • General requirements only.
